PRESENTATIONS of the children’s book collection:
“COME SURF WITH PIPA, JAIME AND KIKA”
(for children between 6 and 12 years old) – Public and Private Schools, Surf Clubs, Surf Schools, among others…
The presentations are about the purpose of this book collection, about surfing and Portuguese culture, with civic and environmental issues and a lot of joy always to the mix, showing each title and part of some stories. Education for Sustainable Development will be present during the presentations, not only because of the importance of the health of our Oceans, but also because of our global interdependence, among others. Personal Motivation and Emotional Control are issues that may also be addressed!
The TITLES are:
1- Kika starts surfing!
2- Kika in surfing school: the competitions and the Maldives… Jaime enters the scene!
3- Jaime, the family’s mascote!
4- The gigantic waves of Nazaré!
5- At Peniche during the Surfing World Championship… Super Tubes!
6 – Cascais, Capital of Portuguese Surfing and it´s all down to King D. Luís and his Love of Swimming in the Sea!
7 – The Resano Sisters!
8 – Ericeira, World Surfing Reserve!
9 – Viana do Castelo, Nautical City of the Atlantic: “Those who like it come, those who love it stay!”
10 – The trip to the Hawaiian islands or the Sandwich islands!
The prefaces of the released books were written by some national leading figures of the surfing world, such as Joao Aranha, president of the Portuguese Surfing Federation, the “father” of the Portuguese surf Nuno Jonet, the professional surfer Frederico Morais (aka Kikas), João Macedo, a huge waves surfer, Paulo Morais Ferreira, PPSC (Peniche Surfing Club) director, Teresa Abraços (one of the first portuguese surfers)…
CREATIVE WRITING Playshops on SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Through conversation and critical thinking, these workshops lead children to understand our interdependence with nature (animals and plants) and to become even more responsible, civic-minded citizens!
TALKS vs MENTORING WITH FILIPA LEANDRO!

I am here to present my “private” sessions, TALKS vs MENTORING with FILIPA LEANDRO, in which I am available to have lively conversations, that bring something positive to our lives!
I was a competitive athlete in the surfing world. I have three children. One is taking a medical course and two are following the world of high competition surfing. They have been part of the Portuguese National Team, and already achieved some national titles. My daughter became this year (January 13, 2023), Junior World Champion. Besides being very involved in the work of Personal Motivation, Emotional Control, I am an educator for Sustainable Development, with a certificate from the Earth Charter Institute, linked to UNESCO, I have a degree in International Relations and a Master in Human Ecology. I´m a writer, author of a book collection for kids, “Come Surf with Pipa, Jaime and Kika” so far with 10 titles, and I have made many national and international presentations, in public and private schools, surf clubs, among others. I was a surf teacher for eight years and therefore have dealt with “thousands” of kids.

I like to help, I like to communicate, to meet people and to teach! I use all my academic knowledge and personal experience to guide my classes and teach Portuguese to foreigners. Without great expectations, just letting the themes and the Portuguese language flow! In a relaxed atmosphere, at home or in the middle of nature, these are easy and unforgettable learning moments!
(Academic Degree in International Relations, Master in Human Ecology, several certificates, being the last one the Certificate in Education for Sustainable Development, from Earth Charter Institute)!
