As a partner of the Blue School program, I am invited to give presentations in schools.
Given that my collection of books “Come Surf with Pipa, Jaime and Kika” is about surfing, local culture, environment and much more, and that I am an Educator for Sustainable Development, the presentations focus is on Critical Thinking, giving birth to, or growing Ecowisdom within the children, and Empowering them to be the change!

I have been presenting the book collection “Come Surf with Pipa, Jaime and Kika” at the Portuguese School of Posso, Portuguese School of Half Moon Bay, Point Loma High School and San Diego State University, to the Portuguese communities of San Francisco and Portuguese students in San Diego. It was very productive as my collection is a “VISITING CARD” to Portugal, highlighting our coastline and waves already known worldwide, while teaching our country’s culture and traditions and the Portuguese language.

We got incredible waves, but also meet incredible people. Open houses and open smiles from Maldivian families at Himmafushi Island! The kids loved the books and we loved the kids!
